Why train in GEO

Search is shifting to AI engines: your customers are asking ChatGPT

Answer engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Mistral, Copilot) no longer return ten blue links but a single answer, built from the sources they consider trustworthy. If your brand is not one of them, it disappears from the conversation. Training in GEO means taking back control of this new visibility.

18M

AI assistants have become a daily reflex to compare, choose and buy.

80%

of French people use an AI engine every week

AI engine adoption grew 40% in France between 2024 and 2025, driven by Gen Z.

-25%

According to Gartner, a growing share of searches is moving to AI assistants. SEO alone is no longer enough.

Definition

What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)?

GEO, also known as AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), LLMO or AI Search optimization, covers all the techniques that help a brand be understood, cited and recommended in answers generated by artificial intelligence.

Where SEO aims to rank a page in Google results, GEO aims to make your content a trusted source for LLMs. The two disciplines are complementary: GEO builds on SEO fundamentals (technical, semantic, authority) and adds new levers specific to generative engines.

To go further, check out our GEO glossary and our blog dedicated to AI visibility.

The 4 pillars of GEO covered in the training

1

Technical

Accessibility for AI crawlers, robots.txt, performance, Schema.org structured data.

2

Semantic

Structured content, direct answers, "answer hub" pages backed by evidence.

3

Authority

Entities, brand mentions, strategic link building, sources cited by AI.

4

Measurement

Share of voice in AI answers, citation tracking, action management.

Frequently asked questions about the GEO training

Everything you need to know before signing up: content, funding, format, prerequisites.

  • What is a GEO training?

A GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) training teaches you how to make a brand visible in the answers of AI engines such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini, Perplexity or Claude. It covers AI visibility audits, technical and editorial content optimization, entity authority building and results measurement.

  • What is the difference between SEO, AEO and GEO?

SEO aims to rank pages in traditional search engine results. AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) aims to provide the direct answer to a question, for example in featured snippets or voice assistants. GEO extends this logic to generative engines: the goal is to be selected, cited and recommended by LLMs. The three approaches are complementary and the training connects them.

  • Does GEO replace SEO?

No. AI engines rely heavily on search results and classic authority signals. Good GEO starts with solid SEO, to which specific levers are added: answer-structured content, structured data, entities, cited sources, share-of-voice measurement in AI answers.

  • Do I need to know SEO already to attend the training?

No prerequisites are required. The first half-day reviews SEO fundamentals (technical, semantic, authority) before moving on to the specifics of generative engines. SEO experts get a focused update on LLMs.

  • How much does the GEO training cost and how can it be funded?

Pricing is set on quote, depending on the format (open or in-house session), the number of participants and the location. The training is delivered by a Qualiopi-certified organization, which makes it eligible for OPCO funding for French companies, often at 100%. The quote, syllabus and agreement are provided to build your file.

  • How long is the training and what is the format?

The training lasts 2 half-day sessions. It takes place remotely via Google Meet, with a learning extranet, or on-site on request. Groups are limited to 5 participants to work on your own cases.

  • Who delivers the training?

The training is delivered by our expert partners such as Pilot'in, a Qualiopi-certified training organization based in Lyon, France. BotRank.ai connects you with the organization and then supports you in measuring and optimizing your AI visibility.

  • Which tools are used during the training?

Participants work with the SEO toolkit (Search Console, Analytics, SEO tools) as well as AI visibility measurement tools. The BotRank.ai platform then lets you track your progress over time: mentions, citations, share of voice, sources and technical audits.

  • Can the training be organized in-house for a whole team?

Yes. The training can be organized in-house, remotely or at your office, with a syllabus adapted to your industry, your strategic queries and your competitors. Mention it in the form to receive a tailored quote.

  • How soon can we start?

The lead time is about 4 weeks after registration is confirmed, the time needed to finalize OPCO funding and schedule the sessions.
